About Us..

Have you ever wondered if our beloved animal companions experience an afterlife? Knowing how unconditionally they love, how forgiving they are and how loyal, it is no wonder that we all imagine an afterlife for them. My husband and I have loved four dogs in our 52 years of marriage  and three of them have passed on leading us to imagine an afterlife for them.

What We Are?

Are our precious animals waiting for us in heaven? I once posed this question to a very good friend who happens to be a Catholic nun. She smiled and without
hesitation stated: “Your reward in heaven will be everything and everyone who has ever made you happy and that includes our animals. I slept better that night, knowing that these precious companions were in God’s hands, free from pain and suffering, and running in heaven’s green grass.

My name is Kathy. For over 25 years I have had the honor of serving people in hospice nursing and grief counseling. From my personal and professional experience, I can say that the grief we experience upon the death of a beloved animal is very deep and real. Our pets are family members, sometimes closer than human friends or family. This is someone who would lay down his life for you; someone who stands at the top of the basement steps waiting for you as if
you have been gone for weeks; someone who will stay close when you are having a tough day and celebrate with you when your mood is great. Someone who takes great joy in walking by your side as the best walk EVER! And now that someone is gone. Anyone who has gone through this agony can attest that it is life altering. The pain is pervasive. If we are fortunate, we will have a supportive group of people around us, but many go through this without support and some even receive harsh remarks like: “Haven’t you gotten over this yet?” or “Why don’t you just get another dog (or cat)?” The world keeps turning, but for a person who is experiencing the pain of this loss, the world has come to a complete stop.

What We Do

A Letter From Heaven provides comfort, solace and the perfect knowledge that our beloved animals are where they need to be -in the caring hands of God. The letter is written from the point of view of the animal and is typically sent anonymously. However, if you so choose, a note can be included that states: “This letter comes directly from heaven at the loving request of___________..”

Once we receive your request and background information about the date and circumstances of the death (if known), favorite toys or treats, family members and possibly previous pets who have passed on. We begin to compose a one of a kind letter. The letter will be emailed to you for approval and once approved, will be written on special stationery and mailed to the recipient. There are many ways you can honor the passing of a cherished pet, but this is the only way to create a keepsake of love and memories that will last a lifetime
